DIRECTIONS TO SHOWGROUNDS:
FROM THE LIE East or West: Exit 66. At light turn right if heading west or left if heading east. This is Sills Road or County Road/101. You will proceed north on 101 until you crossover Rt. 25, which turns into Rocky Point Road. Once you crossover Rt. 25, you will continue approximately 1 ½ - 2 miles and Island Hills Stable is on the left hand side.
Refreshments will be available on the show grounds throughout all sessions of the show.

• Rules & Regulations

1. Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current Federation Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith.
2. All riders must be in proper riding attire and wear approved protective headgear.
3. Trophy and eight ribbons awarded in every class, unless otherwise noted.
4. Prize money will be paid by check or deducted from entry fees and will be presented to exhibitor at the Secretary’s stand. Thereafter, the Show’s responsibility terminates. The Horse Show will not stop payment or duplicate awards for lost checks.
5. An office fee of $25.00 will be assessed to every entry.
6. An entry may be scratched by written notice with the show secretary and a $35.00 processing fee will be assessed. Once the show has started, horses that are not shown in classes that they have entered, will forfeit their entry fees.
7. Jumping orders, if necessary, will be established randomly and will be posted at the gate prior to each division.
8. The management reserves the right to cancel, combine or split any class if entries warrant or the rules of USEF require it. Management reserves the right to add or change judges and stewards.
9. No dogs or other pets allowed on grounds unless leashed and under control.
10. A fine of $50 plus collection fees will be assessed for all non-negotiable checks. Foreign competitors are required to pay in US funds to avoid discount charges.
11. Entries close the Thursday before the show at 8:00 pm. Entries are $30.00 per class unless otherwise noted. Post entry fee $10.00 per class. Warm Ups are $20.00 per trip or session.
12. All exhibitors in the Pony & Junior Hunter Sections must present their measurement cards at the Show office before number may be picked up. To speed the processing, you may send a photocopy of your card with your entry blank.
13. Show Championships – Will be awarded on the basis of USEF rules in all Hunter and Jumper Classes. Equitation championships will be awarded on points:7,5,4,3,2,1. In the case of equal points, the rider with the most points over fences will be declared the Champion. In the event there is still a tie, the rider with the most points in the first class over fences will be declared the Champion.
14. Zone II Specifications for Children’s & Adult Amateur Hunters.

16. Exhibitors showing as Amateur riders must present their Amateur cards to the show secretary prior to receiving their number.
17. Starting on December 1, 2008, in order to compete at a USEF licensed hunter,
jumper, or hunter/jumper competition, each horse must be registered with the
USHJA for a one-time fee of $30.00; see USEF rule book under EQ100,
HU100 and JP100.)
18. All hunter classes to be judged on Performance & Soundness 100%.

Life senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at regular competitions, eventing competitions at the preliminary level or above and combined driving competitions at the advanced level, dressage, reining and vaulting competitions and endurance rides provided the respective breed/discipline dues or breed/discipline category fee has been paid. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at regular competitions, eventing competitions, dressage competitions, reining competitions and combined driving competitions upon payment of a $30 non member registration fee.. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the requirements of this rule 1) leadline 2) exhibitions 3) games and races 4) classes for 4-H members 5) walk, trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes 7)NRHA endorsed reining competitions 8) opportunity classes 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own national federation 10) USEA beginner novice division and 11) assistant handlers in dressage sport horse breeding classes.

Member Long Island High Score Awards Association
All points won at this show will count towards the annual Long Island High Score Awards. In order to be eligible for an award in any LIHSAA Section, the horse, pony or rider must have shown in that section in at least six member shows.

Minors who do not have a valid drivers license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters,or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or legal guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian (a), and/or trainer (s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusions of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Rule 6, Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

Cassidy III Junior Maclay: Open to Junior riders who have not reached their 18th birthday and who have not won three (3) blue ribbons in a USEF Medal or ASPCA Maclay class prior to the closing date for entries for this show. All contestants are required to perform over at least eight obstacles not exceeding 3’ with or without wings. A minimum of 12 riders if available is required to show at a walk, trot and canter. To be judged on seat, hands, guidance and control of the horse. The Under Saddle, performance of those riders selected to show under saddle shall count 50%. Tests 1-19. Only one rider per horse.

10. M&S Children’s Medal - HORSE Open to Junior riders on horses who are not competing in any hunter or equitation class where fences exceed 3’3”. Riders may NOT cross-enter into M&S Pony Medal.
